“The Cub Cadet ST 426S starts with virtually no effort using the pull cord. It runs smoothly and quietly, has plenty of power and is well-balanced.”

Burdette Peterson, Colbert, WA

“The four-cycle engine is convenient because you don’t have to mix oil with gas, yet it still provides plenty of power to cut through tough weeds and small bushes. It’s electric start feature and portable drill adapter starter makes the trimmer so easy to start.”

I was selected as a tester for this Cub Cadet ST 426S. I decided to add a follow-up comment after I had used this trimmer last Summer/Fall, then stored the trimmer over the winter without use.
I wanted to find out how easy/hard it was to get up and running at the first of Spring.

I am very pleased.
(I had changed the oil at the end of last season before I stored it for the winter.)

I decided NOT to use the optional Electric Starter Kit because I wanted to find out how easy the engine would be to start, warm up to idle, and be ready to use.

I checked the oil level, added fresh fuel, primed the engine, then only pulled the starter cord 2-times for the engine to start. It immediately would idle and warmed up quickly. It was ready for use in five minutes.

It still has the original factory spark plug. I inspected and cleaned it as well as checked the gap setting at the end of last season.

I am completely satisfied and impressed with this Cub Cadet product. With it's ease of use, it's dependability and construction, it cannot be beat for the price.
